Introducing Beatrix!

What are little girls like Beatrix made of? Sugar and spice, and everything nice of course! Beatrix brings happiness everywhere her little paws take her, and always has a gentle kiss or nuzzle at the ready. Saved with her sisters Fiona and Dora and her brother Finn 15 minutes before certain death at a North Carolina gassing shelter, Beatrix has made her way down to the Lowcountry and is getting sweeter (and more plump) by the day. She playfully takes part in puppy wargames such as ambush-the-flip-flop, tug 'o war, and butcher the stuffie carcass. But Beatrix is just as content to cuddle and burrow under the covers with you as she is to attack your feet.

Beatrix and her siblings may (or may not be) German Shepherd/Belgian Tervuren mixes, and as such, her prospective parents should be prepared for her to grow anywhere from 40 to 75 lbs as an adult. Right now, Beatrix & Co. are still young enough to require three squares a day, and potty breaks every three hours at least. They are estimated to be about nine weeks old. At their tender age, they need lots of love, attention, and socialization and as they grow, they will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep them from entertaining themselves with your shoes, furniture, and other precious belongings. But if this sounds like just the kind of long term relationship you've been looking for (think 13-16 years), please contact Mabel's Place at mabelsplace@gmail.com for information about applying for Beatrix- but don't wait, these babies won't be available for long! An application and home visit is required and she will be spayed and UTD on vaccines prior to adoption. Beatrix is being fostered in Charleston, SC.
