Check out this looker!

Yup, you're looking at Beatrix- the very last puppy of the North Carolina Four, available for adoption! Bea received so many apps initially and it was difficult choosing the perfect home. We did, but it turned out to be the wrong time for the adoptive family and so here Beatrix is, gorgeous and available! If you're interested, please email mabelsplace@gmail.com ASAP for an application!

Finn is adopted, Beatrix is available!

So, it seems little Beatrix is available again! Finn has been adopted by an *awesome* couple in Virginia and is going to be making his move there on Monday. Now we just need to place Beatrix, and then each one of the NC-4 will have found their forever homes. It's been such hard work raising four puppies, but also one of the most rewarding things we've done. Seeing their personalities emerge has been amazing.

For a refresher for those who don't know, these puppies were just a few minutes from being executed in a North Carolina gassing shelter. Thanks to the hard work and donations of several people, we were able to get them pulled and then they all came to our house for fostering. Dora the explorer, Fiona the smartypants, and Finn the dog's dog have all found their forever homes- now it's Beatrix the sweetheart's turn!

More pictures of Finn!

Finn is 14 weeks old today!

Here are some pictures of Finn at 13 weeks old- his coat has become sooooo soft, like one of those plush blankets! And he lets us snuggle him, which is even better :)

Finn- looking back!

Of all of the North Carolina Four puppies, no one has stolen our hearts quite like Finn. Teeny tiny at just two pounds when he was rescued, Finn was skinnier than a puppy should ever be- each of his little ribs were visible, and we could feel every bone in his tiny body. After a lot of hard work (and a lot of scares, including an emergency vet visit or two!) Finn has been thriving. He is just hilarious, as evidenced by the video below- and I'm not sure a more dog-friendly puppy exists! If your current pup is just deseperate for a canine companion- consider Finn, and email mabelsplace@gmail.com for an application.
